Downtown Business Improvement District Offers Bike Roadside Assistance

Ever been on your bike and something went awry? Fear no more! The Hartford Business Improvement District (HBID) is offering free roadside assistance to bicyclists in downtown and some parts of Asylum Hill. HBID Ambassadors can help fix a flat, inflate a tire, reattach a slipped chain, or tighten up loose bolts to help get you back on the road.

Note that on those days when you can’t walk, bike, or take transit downtown and something happens to your car, HBID ambassadors also help with car lock-outs, emergency refueling (don’t need that service with an electric vehicle, by the way!), flat tires, and jump starts.

For FREE Roadside Assistance in the District, call (860) 331-4646.

The mission of the Hartford Business Improvement District (HBID) is to bring about positive and lasting change by enhancing the economic vitality and quality of life within the District. Working collectively with the Mayor’s Office, Police Department and the Department of Public Works, as well as the more than 100 property owners and other organizations within the District, HBID will accomplish its mission through initiatives that create a safer, cleaner and more attractive environment for employees, residents and visitors to the District.
