Coming 7/10: New Farmers’ Market on Laurel Street!

Interested in supporting local farmers, and shopping for some delicious and fresh #HartfordGrown produce?

Stop by KNOX’s inaugural Frog Hollow Farmers Market kicking off on Monday, July 10th. Purchase vegetables, herbs, fruits, and more grown right on-site here in Hartford by the farmers in KNOX’s Incubator Farm program.

The incubator program supports individuals who are passionate about farming and want to make a career out of it. Currently, six farmers are growing food familiar to their cultural background, developing necessary partnerships with local farmer’s markets, and actively improving and upscaling their production. KNOX provides these farmers with access to land, infrastructure, equipment, and one-on-one support during the first few years of farm business start-up.

Their farmers hail from agrarian societies all over the world and aim to grow specialty crops specific to their culture. Chances are that you’ll see some veggies you’ve never heard of before!

We always love seeing our Climate Stewardship Council members thrive, and KNOX is one with a great mission. They will have tables set up in the dirt lot past the main driveway to KNOX (75 Laurel Street) on Mondays and Friday from July – October, 3-6 p.m.
